Week Fifty One

This was a week full of hard work out in the sun, and if y'all didn't know, I love the sun! We didn't have too many appointments this week, because it seemed as if half our investigators took a vacation! So we spent a lot of time finding, and doing some less active work. I know just about all of the less actives in my area now.

This past Wednesday we were sick of having no one to teach, so we went out and find a new investigator with the 30 minutes we have. Well, in other areas or missions, 30 minutes might be time to find like 7 new people to teach, but in Colebrook, you'll be lucky to SPOT 3 people let alone talk to anyone. So we set out to find someone being led by the spirit, not knowing before hand what to do. All I can say, is that it actually worked and we found a new woman to teach, and when we came to her house for a return appointment we met even more people to teach! The Lord knows better than us where to find people, so I'm gonna keep listening to him.

This week transfers also snuck up on us. Last night (Monday) we had a proselyting day and just as we were getting in, our phone rang. Now we have a certain ring tone for when President calls. It's that piano song that goes duh duh duh duhhhhhh. All dramatic and stuff. When we picked up the phone President gave us the news. Elder Butikofer would be staying, and recieving Elder Vallace (who is awesome btw), and then he said "Elder Clifford, you're gonna want to be sitting down for this", then he proceeded to drop the bomb that I was going to be serving in Boston! So I'll be serving 5 miles north of the Main Street in Boston, in Revere! He told me to take off the cowboy boots, and to put on my big boy boots because my rural days are over๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ My assignment will be to open up the area and to help bring the North Shore Stake into the mission as a Zone Leader! So pray for me everyone. I'll probably go into shock for the first few days, but I hope to have a blast serving on the beach again!

Anyways, serving in Colebrook has been quite the experience. I will never forget these past 6 months. I'll miss driving up and down the only street in town. The North Woods will always hold a place in my heart. The members up here are some of the strongest I know. They are truly saints, and they minister to others in a way that Jesus would. My testimony has grown here more than anywhere else, and I'm glad I was given the chance to serve here.

Unfortunately this means I'll miss Randy's baptism. He passed his interview on Friday night, and we celebrated with a big fire with the Zone Leaders. Hopefully I'll be able to Skype in, and go to the Temple with him and Nicky in the near future.

Have a good week yall, and stay safe!

Here's some of my pics from my trip to Canada! I breathed the Canadian air in. It's pretty good, but is just like the American air."
