Week Forty Nine

Man it was such a good week. I thought I was done traveling, but I was wrong.  We started off the week leaving our house at 7:40 to get to a meeting at 10:30 in Concord.   Can I just say, Concord is an awesome city. I don't know if it's just that I've been from civilization for so long or what. It's like Manchester where it has lots of red brick buildings, and there was actual sidewalk, and people! It was a short time in Concord though, because when the meeting was over we went on exchanges with the zone leaders in Laconia.

I went with elder Petersen. He goes home in about 2 weeks. We had a fun exchange though. Let's just say I'm glad I watched Community and learned some of the Spanish rap. We were looking for an investigator that they lost track of when we bumped into some Spanish lady. We said hi, and we started talking to her. She couldn't understand most of what we were saying. So I finally got to use the phrase "donde esta la biblioteca" and then I said "me llamo Elder Clifford!" It was awesome! Then she started speaking in Spanish to me while I nodded and  said random Spanish words back. Long story short I think we talked about the World Cup, Chicharito, and now she's a new investigator. It made me want to serve somewhere with more Spanish people, because she said in broken English to come back and teach her whole family. I got just a small glimpse of what it's like to serve a mission with like that.

Also on that exchange we went to dinner at an awesome family's house. They had a kid named after the brother of Jared, and his brothers name was Jared. So he was the literal brother of Jared.
It has been mucho calliente out here. The weather has been insane. We had a tornado warning on Saturday night, and I guess the area of New England I'm in is the hottest it's been in years. So that's awesome, because I thrive in the heat. All these New Englanders don't have air conditioning in their homes though, so they're just burning alive. We got a few fans set up, and a window ac, so we basically got a top of the line set up!

Last night we went into a lesson with Randy planning on teaching him more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Well in the very beginning, and I still don't know how it happened, the Word of Wisdom came up, and we just completely switched our lesson plan. It went great!

Also we caught a firefly in a jar, and brought him inside. Those lil dudes are crazy! They also don't look like flies. That's a cool part about our here though. Once 9 o'clock passes, the night sky just starts blinking!

Anyways it was a great week, and I'm even more excited for the week ahead. The 4th of July in New England is supposed to be awesome, and we're getting permission to stay out later than normal. Hope you all have a great week! Have fun, and be safe! Byeeeeee!
