This week was a pretty interesting week for me. So this past p day we had a district p day. That was pretty fun, not as fun as the zone p days. I think we might have one of those next week though, so that's good. Anyways we were down in Ellsworth for that. Then when the day was over we headed back to Rockland, and while we were still driving the Ellsworth Elders called and said we had exchanges the next day. So they drove down to Rockland and stayed the night. We were out the door by 8 the next morning and were heading back to Ellsworth. So I was there until Wednesday night. That was fun. We had some fun experiences tracting using the new Light the World video. Good times.
On Thursday we helped out K our investigator with his move. Unfortunately he's moving to Florida soon, but we are going to keep in contact over email and stuff. We might do a few Skype lessons with him, and pass him over to the missionaries out there He's ready to be baptized, he's just scared because he's a vet and the experiences he's had with war changed him a lot. He's really close though. His wife's a member and he's been coming to church a lot since I've gotten here. So we will see how that pans out.
The atonement is a powerful thing, and a lot of people don't realize that Jesus Christ did it for them. One of my favorite parts about our church is that we are always striving to be better. You may have messed up or have done something wrong in your life, but it doesn't condemn you and go all fire and brimstone on you. You just fix your mistakes and be a better person than you were yesterday. So keep your head up, and look for that bright future.
On Friday we had a district meeting in Ellsworth, that was a good time. We stayed the night there and helped prep for a parade that we were going to be in the next day. We forgot to take a picture with our banner, and everyone all set up, but the few pics I do have paint the picture well. So first off we had like the best spot in the parade. We walked behind a float with a buuuuunch of huskies. We waited about an hour for the parade to start and we were just talking to the people in the float in front of us, and playing with huskies. Now originally we had a random lil jimbo float behind us, but then out of nowhere we had a firetruck right behind us. Like it actually looked like the firetruck was part of our float. So that was awesome. I talked to soooooooo many people during the parade. I had one guy tell me his address and to visit him and all his kids. So I got like a super refferal for the Ellsworth Elders. Very fun parade though.
So overall this week I spent one full day in Rockland. I missed it here, and I'm glad to be back. Transfers are almost upon us already though so who knows what's going to happen. It will be interesting to see where I'll be spending Christmas. President Blair said he's going to try and make as few changes as possible. I interpreted that as most people are going to be moved around. It's going to be fun regardless of what happens though.
Anyways have a good week and #lighttheworld!
